The mysterious black cat is a music project by Gata Misteriosa and Dj / Producer Lee Bass. Both having their roots in Africa they were influenced by different blends of African music.

Gata spent her youth at clubs in Portugal dancing to all different flavas of Portuguese club music which nowadays became influenced by other Dance Music genres. Kuduro, Baile Funk, Moombahton and different tastes of Brazilian and African sounds became part of her nightlife.

Lee was influenced by his dad who used to be a Funk and Black music DJ in the 80s also playing traditional West African music like High Life.Without even knowing how heavily he was influenced these different rhythms later became part of his productions and remixes.

This project is a journey into Gato Preto’s interpretation of all these styles which crosses boundaries to Break Beat, Dub Step, House and other Dance Music genres.
Gata’s Portuguese Raps backed with Lee’s heavy beats give their music the right twist and massive vibe on the dancefloor.If this ain’t enough the Black Cat teams up with live musicians in order to get the original African / Brazillian flavour into their productions.
